July 2026 Recipe: Blueberry Cobbler

Keeping up with my 2026 Bingo Card, I'm making one new recipe each month. To be up front about something, this month has been busy for me. My partner and I have been in the process of moving to a new city and I completely forgot about this challenge. I scrambled to figure out what I was going to make with my limited resources in an unfamiliar kitchen. Luckily, we had some blueberries that were going to waste in the fridge from a weekend out, so I figured, hey, why not a dessert?

I did a quick search and landed on a recipe that looked simple enough to do. I can't imagine a cobbler will be that hard. Full disclosure, I'm not passionate about making this recipe at all, I just didn't want to miss my bingo card.

Final Results

My Partner's Thoughts: This is my first time having a cobbler and I'm not too sure how huge I am on it. I would have used a smaller baking dish because it came out really thin. We put a little too much lemon in, it kind of overpowers it. But it's still very yummy, and will probably be better cold.

My Thoughts: The ratios were a little off on a couple of things. First, I put too many blueberries because I just wanted to get rid of what I had. Second, my partner put way too much lemon in the blueberries. It tasted more like a lemon cake that was under baked than a blueberry cobbler. With that said, sugar, lemon, and a crunchy texture are hard to dislike. I'm not a huge fan of sweets, but I'm okay with the rushed, last-minute recipe we created.
